Swift Epic 686 olive just finished.
I received the blank and a nice reel seat from a gentleman, who happends to be a rodbuilder too. He wanted something special and allowed me to work my ways into it, wich was great.
All dark nickel hardware, clear olive silk wraps tipped charcoal and screw downlock classic Lemke reel seat with a small fighting butt in dark grey-blue anodized finish with a dyed green wood.
Subtle in appereance, the custom nickel silver winding check was blued to closely match the reel seat. Details that make all the difference sometimes.
This beautiful rod deserved an exquisite handcrafted leather case.
I didn't have much on hand to match the olive blank but I came across something nice. This beige leather was an elegant choice despite the fact that I was a bit skeptical about it.
Custom screen printed logos look sharper and better than ever on it.
Very happy of the end result! If one may be thinking this is another one of those "too beautiful to fish" rods, well rest assured they are built to last.
