After a serious photo shoot in a cold rain and snow wich was well worth it, I can certainly say that this is my absolute favorite Steffen Brothers fiberglass rod build to come out from my shop. This dark beauty is a "soul healer" and was a pure joy to work on and to photograph. It will soon find its way across the "big pond" to his new home in Nova Scotia, Canada and hopefully make a folk happy. Hope you'll enjoy these photos and thank you for looking everyone!

Sage 9'0" 9wt.
Here is a Sage rod I just finished for a good friend. I had this blank
in stock for some time and finally managed to do it. He is going to use
this very powerful rod for some serious Huchen and marble trout fishing
in Slovenia. This rod could also be a very good saltwater rod or for
salmon in Norway. Who knows what Mother Nature will be throwing at this
blue hotshot. Thanks for looking everyone!

Steffen 7'9' #4/5
The new year's first project. Some of my best fittings you'll see in a fiberglass rod. This is a presentation grade Steffen. The dark electroplated hardware is classy yet more durable than blued metal.
Here are some pictures of the rod wrapped in antique gold and black single trims and double black ferrule trims.

A nice surprise
I've recently been contacted by Jason Rault at Lumbejac who runs this very cool online magazine specialized in showcasing some of the finest and most minimalistic products for lifestyle and the modern mountain man. Products that work and stand the test of time.
It was an extremely nice surprise to read an excelent article about my work and then a couple of days later to find out that my Epic salsa rod has made it in a top ten of their 2013 favorites.
I will be browsing regularly this very interesting website as it offers some neat information about some very interesting products for the mountaneering guy or for everyday use.
For more information check out their website.
