Epic Bandit

The first Epic Bandit project in the new four piece configuration.

This time in a little bit different  style. The Burkheimer type handle and fighting butt.

I have always admired Kerry Burkheimer's work and considered him a master builder with a very unique style and approach on fly rods. Nevertheless, Kerry thinks the aesthetics of a fly rod is the ultimate expression of its quality. I couldn't agree more.

So I'm really happy to have done something like this on this Bandit, also customer prefference. The black tipped translucent wraps with black hardware go really well together with the dark cork accents.

Some will love it, some won't, but I think on a ten weight this really makes sense and gives more durability overall, for years of use and abuse of those hard charging fish in saltwater.

Thanks for looking!

How does this rod cast with lighter lines (8 & 9 weight)?
