Tom Morgan - Winston Stalker style

A beautiful Tom Morgan 7'6" 4wt. fiberglass rod appointed in the old Winston Stalker style. The  "Morgan era" blank and the elegant nickel silver cap and ring hardware were supplied by Christian Horgren of Fine Tackle, who kindly accepted to pass onto one of his last blanks on my request. The hardware is a perfect match to the minimalist style build of the 70's. I chose to use a winding check,  so an ultra polished and reduced in size winding check was appropiate.

The cork insert is always a challenge for me, and after screwing it up two times it came out perfect on the third.

Candy apple red wraps and white silk "Stalker style" trims, a "retro" hook keeper made of nickel silver, Mildrum and Snake Brand guides, all complementing the beautiful "vintage" brown blank. Black ink script. A gorgeously handcrafted burgundy leather case with laser engraved TMR logo on the cap.

This rod is truly special and one that might be "too beautiful" to fish with, but it is ready to, and built to "perfection", as close as it gets. It casts beautifully with a relaxed casting style. I loved it! Check some more photos of the building process on facebook. Thanks for looking! #perfectionflyrod

Superlight 299

Another one of these beauties I just finished.

Ultralight feeling rod with a lot of power down low and light tip section for tippet protection. Slightly oversized snake guides help minimise leader sticking to the blank.

These are the ultimate euro-nymphing sticks available. They also double as dry fly rods if conditions call for it.

Classic grade build with a beautiful color matching, burled maple wood insert - uplocking bronze hardware reel seat and slim western grip. I have another 296 blank available and ready to build.

Thanks for looking!

Swift Epic 476 Amber

Heirloom grade Epic 476 Amber. Bamboo style appointments, exquisite Bellinger NS hardware, Struble coffee agate stripping guide and EcoLight snake guides, wrapped in cinnamon silk. This rod goes to Jay Lee in Holland, who is an FFF certified casting instructor and excellent fly tier, flyfishing blogger and friend to be reviewed, test casted etc. If this rod doesn't stay in Holland, it might become available. To me, the 476 casts as good as it gets. Perfect progressive action, forgiving and  easy to cast with great loop control in close or long. I've enjoyed taking it on my annual alpine lake trip this summer. Thanks for looking! #glassisnotdead
