GXT9044..performance and versatility..

Hi everyone,
I'm showing you the latest addition in the Dan Craft line of blanks..Five Rivers GXT. This is as good as it gets for a graphite rod. Very light weight, fast tip action combined with the progressive feel make this rod the ideal fast action rod in mid sized to large streams or alpine lakes. Very versatile with dry flies, nymphs and small streamers.
The price tag is acceptable. You can't find to many graphite blanks that are this good at 230$. The finished rod (vintage grade build) came out to 535$ and has all the high quality components. Stay tuned for another special 5wt. and thanks for looking!

Six piece 3wt..

One the most popular of the Dan Craft blanks, the six piece FTL 8036, may be the perfect rod for the traveling small stream trout fisherman. All the goodies a great blank should be fitted with are right here. Uplocking nickel silver reel seat, flor grade cork grip, subtle thread colours and a remarcable leather tube handracrafted right here in Romania. I wanted to match everything together and the result is a very light and beautiful #3 trout rod. Here it is and thankx for looking!

One piece of heaven from where the river enters the lake..that's where it starts. Unfortunately I had too little time for exploring. The next season will find me fishing those fast flowing rivers for sure. This time we had a little bit of float tube action. Missed some big ones. Will be back next spring. Enjoy some pics.

A three weight rebuild

Steffen Brothers 6'6" 2-3wt...first fiberglass build

I am very pleased to post and show you my first fiberglass rod project on a beautiful Steffen Bros. S-glass blank built for a creek fisherman. This is vintage grade build. A classic rod

This is a great 3wt. rod for trout.  Very simple and clean, classic build. The classic cigar cork handle has a fine feel to it and is a perfect match with for classy reel seat from Joel Lemke. This is a new addition in my line of rods and they will set a new standard in my builds. These are truly spectacular nickle silver and black nickle seats with gorgeous wood inserts, very light weight to balance the highly advanced graphite blanks of today.

This light rod makes a great soft presentation trout fishing tool, with medium-fast action and progressive feel, great for close and medium range and with enough power for longer casts when needed. Also, this lenght and weight is a must in the trout fisherman's arsenal. And to make it even more special, a very elegant leather tube was a must to complete the package.
